North Tees and Hartlepool University Hospital conducts high quality clinical research. The Respiratory research nurses at UHNT are working on a number of studies looking at the best care and treatments for patients living with a variety of Respiratory conditions. This includes creating a relationship which ensures that the patients are confident that the care they receive is of high quality and that they are getting the best possible treatments available to them in the NHS.
Respiratory patients who are participating in research studies, or would like to be considered for research studies, or have an interest in Respiratory research, are invited to attend the quarterly focus group meetings. These meetings are friendly and informative and enable patients to ask any questions or voice any concerns they may have. It is a forum in which the research nurses can give patients an update on current studies and invite patients to participate in future studies. The meetings also give the opportunity to get instant feedback from patients on a variety of research subjects.
For more information regarding the Respiratory Research Focus Group please contact Nicky Bateman or June Battram on 01642 624580.
